That's a relief. [He hoped his tail wouldn't grow any bigger—he was already having difficulty moving around with it. Ditto with his wings. (Those were also a lot harder than he expected. How was Clear Wing able to fly with them?)
Yuya's question comes as a surprise—he wants corks? As in the kind used to seal bottles?]
Dunno. If we do, they're probably in the kitchen.
[No one's been drinking irresponsibly, have they???]
[Probably not. The downsides to a house full of teenagers... they probably won't have anything sitting around. He'll have to get some once the townspeople stop boarding up their shops. He shivers a bit from nerves, but he's made it this far without hurting himself, so he'll probably be fine another night. Probably.]
[Having just been through the full cycle of hunger bullshit, from post-transformation stomach growling to berserk murder most foul, part of him wants to ask "you sure?"
But no. It's bad enough that happened to him, he's not going to make this about that so soon. Transforming does take a lot out of a person. He hopes it's just Yugo's body needing the energy back.]
I'll see what we have...
[Might as well, since he was still going to look for corks anyway. But he doesn't know what he'll find in their cupboards and fridge, since the last time he resurrected it took almost a month.
A few minutes later, he comes back with a sandwich, a banana, and no corks. He hands the plate over without a word. After a moment, though, he asks what's on his mind after finding their supplies to be pretty much the same.]
[No tomato, eggplant, or...whatever Yuri's associated with (I've seen at least three fruits/veggies for him)??? As soon as the plate's in his hands, he snatches the sandwich and begins munching on it.
He doesn't even need Yuya to finish his question to know what he's asking. His response is prompt—so prompt, in fact, that there's still food in his mouth.]
Leff thn uh de. [Even he knows what he just said would be difficult to understand. He finishes chewing and swallowing before repeating.] ...Less than a day. Hell, Kurosaki and I buried your body not too long ago.
[After they had done so, he had gone to bed. Digging a hole large enough for Yuya was pretty exhausting.]
O...oh... [He stares for a bit, before looking down again as they head down toward the main floor of the building.] D...didn't know that...
[The fact was, aside from his brief encounters with his opponents... ...he never really interacted with someone his age before. ...it's hard to think of.]
[There's a slow headshake--and perhaps admittance of something that others would be taking with great alarm with what else about the boy is known.] Umnh...n...no...
...Never saw anyone... ...Not until the tournament...
[He's very confused. Also if anything it was really more his mother's word that kept him inside, considering that his brother let him follow him around as much as he liked.
With Mom it was either stay there, or stay with the doctor...]
I did see some machines with card games. Dunno if they're what you're looking for.
[The moment he realized they weren't Duel Monsters, he pretty much ignored them.]
Duel Monsters is great! Players build a deck made up of different kinds of cards, and they battle each other until there's a winner. You don't have to play against one person, either—you can have tag-team duels, too. [A beat.] I can show you how to play once I get my deck back.
[It's easier to show than tell, after all. Also, he might need another deck... Maybe Yuzu can lend him hers again.]
Yeah. It's a big deal where I'm from. We got tournaments that bring in millions of people— [He's probably exaggerating. Probably.] —and you can become famous if you're really good!
Yeah. And most our duels are done on D-Wheels! [...Oh, right, he should probably say what those are.] They're motorbikes made for dueling.
[He grins.] If I can get another deck, we can duel each other!
[And man, he'd want to have plenty of duels—it's a lot of fun playing with friends, after all. ...Though, he probably wouldn't be able to borrow the others' decks forever. Hmm, maybe he should try and buy Loki his own.]
It's the greatest! And apparently they've started adding these "Action Card" things that appear all over the track. I dunno much about them, but they seem pretty cool!
Maybe I can see if the horse-man can get me my D-Wheel. Then I can show you how to duel on it!

Yuya
That's a relief. [He hoped his tail wouldn't grow any bigger—he was already having difficulty moving around with it. Ditto with his wings. (Those were also a lot harder than he expected. How was Clear Wing able to fly with them?)
Yuya's question comes as a surprise—he wants corks? As in the kind used to seal bottles?]
Dunno. If we do, they're probably in the kitchen.
[No one's been drinking irresponsibly, have they???]
no subject
... Well, is there anything else you need?
no subject
.........Oh no, please don't let that mean what he thinks it means.]
Food. ...The normal kind.
[He hopes that'll satiate his hunger.]
no subject
But no. It's bad enough that happened to him, he's not going to make this about that so soon. Transforming does take a lot out of a person. He hopes it's just Yugo's body needing the energy back.]

Hey, Yugo. How long was I...?

Reira
You're a lot more serious than the kids I knew back in Commons. And you're really smart for a kid, too.
no subject
[The fact was, aside from his brief encounters with his opponents... ...he never really interacted with someone his age before. ...it's hard to think of.]
no subject
[Has he even been allowed to have fun outside of dueling?]
no subject
...Never saw anyone... ...Not until the tournament...
no subject
That brother of yours... How could he do something like that!?
[Somehow, maybe it's better than the kid's here and away from Reiji...
...OK, no, being here is not good at all regardless.]
no subject
...D...
...Do what.. ..?
[He's very confused. Also if anything it was really more his mother's word that kept him inside, considering that his brother let him follow him around as much as he liked.
With Mom it was either stay there, or stay with the doctor...]
no subject
[Not like he knows his mother had a hand it in—he only knows about Reiji.]
no subject
[His words almost come as a shout--panicked, defensive...
And then he quiets again.] M...Mom said...
...Said I had to stay 'there'...
no subject
[...Huh. Looks like Reiji isn't to blame this time.
He calms down a little.]
Sucks that she did that. [A beat.] At least you're allowed to go out now, yeah?
no subject
[... It's nice to be able to go out.] Y...yeah.
Loki

Huh. ...Some sort of trading card game then, is it?
no subject
Yeah. It's a big deal where I'm from. We got tournaments that bring in millions of people— [He's probably exaggerating. Probably.] —and you can become famous if you're really good!
no subject
[He laughs, shrugging.] I can't say I totally get it, but if you're going to be showing me what you mean later on, I can deal with it for now I guess!
no subject
[He grins.] If I can get another deck, we can duel each other!
[And man, he'd want to have plenty of duels—it's a lot of fun playing with friends, after all. ...Though, he probably wouldn't be able to borrow the others' decks forever. Hmm, maybe he should try and buy Loki his own.]
no subject
[Okay not even his inexplicable knowledge of common human culture is helping him there.] You're playing around with a deck of cards while driving!?
[While the shock is there, it's obvious that his interest has spiked considerably with that.] Sounds bloody intense..!
no subject
It's the greatest! And apparently they've started adding these "Action Card" things that appear all over the track. I dunno much about them, but they seem pretty cool!

oh my god loki
ahaha
It's all right. It's much more easier and fun to show you anyways!
